R. Jennifer Powell

Born and raised in Charleston, SC, Jennifer brings an impressive academic background to her legal practice. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina before achieving her Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law in 2023, where she graduated cum laude.

Jennifer’s commitment to her work ethic and passion for public service and advocacy serve as the foundation of her legal approach. During her time at GSU, she was selected for the esteemed HeLP Health Law Partnership Clinic program, a distinguished opportunity that allowed her to advocate for disabled children from low-income households. In this role, she collaborated with both legal and health professionals within the Atlanta area. Jennifer’s dedication and capabilities were recognized through the Cali Excellence for the Future Award, a testament to her exceptional contributions. She was awarded three additional Excellence awards, spanning Estate Planning and Independent Research.

Away from her legal pursuits, Jennifer lives in Smyrna, TN with her husband, Dr. Timothy M. Powell, and their two sons, Danny and Patrick. The family enjoys artistic endeavors, with a special affinity for choral performance. Jennifer eagerly anticipates her involvement within the Middle Tennessee community.
